Here at Kings we have created a course over a 4 week period that is designed to improve your health and lower your BODY MASS INDEX into an acceptable range.
What is BMI?
Body Mass Index (BMI) is an assessment of your weight relative to your height. The World Health Organisation classifies a BMI of 25-30 as overweight and over 30 as obese.
'My BMI' explained:
Dr Stephen Bridgman, Director of public health in Guernsey recommends regular enjoyable exercise as a 'best buy' in preventing future health problems. Guidelines for health stipulate a minimum of 30 minutes of moderately intense exercise 5 times per week and an acceptable BMI of 19-24 for females and 20-25 for males.
Our team of qualified instructors will guide you through a range of exercise and activity that will be both motivational and fun to help you achieve and exceed the recommendations above. You will be part of a group whereby each person is there for the same goal and you will share the experience with these like minded people throughout the 4 week course. You will be given nutritional advice and educated on how to exercise safely and effectively during and after this course.
